The numerous types of ruins at the site are a testament to the ingenuity of the Sinaguan people who lived there. You can examine: an ancient pit house, large dwellings tucked in caves inside the well, and the remains of numerous cliff dwellings perched along the rim. There is even an ancient irrigation ditch that still flows with water.

We stumbled upon this blog post mentioning Dwellings Close in a list of recent unreleased British Horror films, how very exciting! Although Dwellings Close is not straight up horror it IS a genre film of sorts, with some horror elements, and of appeal to horror fans of course.

Among the oldest Anasazi dwellings open to the public are the White House Ruins, a group of stone houses deep in the canyon at the bottom of a 500-foot cliff. These ruins were occupied from about 1060 to 1275 A.D. and are among the oldest existing dwellings to be found in North America.
The Manitou Cliff Dwellings is located in Manitou Springs, Colorado, five miles west of Colorado Springs, just off US Highway 24 (please refer to the map). Besides the Cliff Dwellings, Museum, and Gift Shop, there is a Snack Bar and Picnic Patio for your convenience.
